The City of Rogers became a Minnesota GreenStep City in December 2011 in effort to achieve sustainability goals through the implementation of 28 best practices focused on cost savings, energy use reduction, and encouraging innovation. Throughout the years, the City of Rogers has focused on ways to improve and “Go Green” in the following areas: economic and community development, environmental management, transportation, land use, buildings and lighting. As of June 2014, the City of Rogers has successfully completed all 3 steps in becoming a GreenStep City.
