Water Main Breaks
When winter approaches and the ground begins to freeze or in the spring when the frost goes out, water mains are prone to breaking from ground movement. Any time you see water running out of the ground, through cracks in the pavement or from behind curbing call Public Works at (763) 428-8580.
Water Main Flushing
Rogers Public Works flushes water mains throughout the City every fall typically October to November, and every spring typically April through early May. This helps remove iron and manganese from the system.
During the flushing period it is normal to experience some discolored water. This water is safe to drink and can be cleared by running the cold water in your laundry tub.
