Local Offices Up for Elections
The City of Rogers is a Primary City, which means if enough people file for the open City offices, the offices will appear on the Primary Ballot in August. Because Rogers is a Primary City, the filings for office are held from May 22 at 8:00am and will close June 5 at 5:00pm. The open offices are the Mayor and two City Councilors. The Mayor serves a two-year term, and City Councilors serve a four-year term. All candidates should file at the City Clerk's office located at 22350 South Diamond Lake Road. The filing fee is $2.00
State Primary and General Election
The State Primary Election is set for Tuesday, August 14 and the State General Election will be Tuesday, November 6. Rogers has two voting precincts; where you vote depends on where you live. All residents who live on the north side of Interstate 94 live in Precinct One and will vote at the Rogers Activity Center located at 21080 141st Avenue (Co. Rd. 144). Voting is located in the upstairs activity room. All residents who live on the south side of Interstate 94 live in Precinct Two and will vote at the Rogers Community Room located at 21201 Memorial Drive, Rogers (shared building with Rogers Fire Department). Voting hours are 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Early Voting/Absentee Voting
Absentee voting for all Rogers residents will occur at the Community Room for the 2018 Election Cycle starting June 29. Hours to vote will be Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 3:00pm and Fridays 9:00am to 1:00pm. In addition to those hours, the Community Room will be open on Saturday, August 11 from 10:00am to 3:00pm and Saturday, November 3, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. You will need to bring a photo I.D. if you are not registered.
