The mission of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is to enhance the lives of current and future generations of Roger’s residents and contribute vision, leadership, and recommendations to the City Council for the best use and development of Rogers' parks, trails, recreation programming, and open spaces.
The purpose of this Board is to work as a team to:
Study and determine the parks, recreation and open space needs of the City and serve as an Advisory Board providing recommendations to the City Council on matters pertaining to the planning, programming, evaluating and funding of park and recreation facilities and programs in accordance with Minnesota Statutes.
Recommend annual priorities to the City Council, with reference to the Comprehensive Master Park Plan for Parks, Trails, and Open Space, for the acquisition, development, operation, and maintenance of recreation area, natural area, facilities, and programs.
The park board meetings are held the second Thursday of the month at 5:30pm at Rogers City Hall. The public is welcome to attend.
Three Rivers Park District is developing an updated master plan for Crow-Hassan Park Reserve, located at the northwest edge of Hennepin County on the Crow River in the cities of Rogers and Hanover.
