Operations Supervisor (Fieldhouse)
Rogers is accepting applications for a full-time Operations Supervisor for the City’s new Fieldhouse. Primary duties include managing facility rentals, volunteers, and maintaining good relationships with other agencies, organizations, and the public. Provide services to meet the standards for all park and athletic facilities. Assist in the operations of the Rogers Activity Center as a whole and specifically, a high-quality artificial turf and community recreation facility. Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities relating to the maintenance, repair, remodeling, renovation, and operations of the facility and component systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, fire safety systems, elevators, interior treatments, building envelope, etc. to ensure continuity of operations. POSITION SUMMARY
Manage the Rogers Activity Center’s Fieldhouse, including facility rentals, volunteers, and arranging for and maintaining good relationships with other agencies, organizations and the public. Provide services necessary to meet the standards for all park and athletic facilities, meet the goals and objectives for the facilities, and represent the facilities to clients, City and the community at large. Assist in providing activities, programs, and services for the Rogers community. Assist in operations of the Rogers Activity Center as a whole and specifically a high-quality artificial turf and community recreation facility. Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities about the maintenance, repair, remodeling, renovation, and operations of the facility and component systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, fire safety systems, elevators, interior treatments, building envelope, etc. to ensure continuity of operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages daily operations of the Fieldhouse
Reporting: Keep records and statistics of recreation programs and facility usage
Coordinating with other agencies: Form partnerships and work with other local groups
Budgeting: Assist in keeping Community Recreation and Activity Center funds at a desired level while properly maintaining programs
Public relations and promotion: Keep the public aware of programs and activities through newsletters, fliers, and social media
Recruitment, training, and supervision of part-time staff and volunteers: Oversee all recreation programming staff and volunteers while recruiting and training new ones
Client meetings and scheduling: Ability to meet with clients and schedule services they request
Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees: interview, hire, and train new part-time staff as necessary
Part of the rotation to oversee facility operations and programing with a strong focus on safety, facility cleanliness, customer service, and staff productivity to ensure the highest quality of services. Provide management support to all Activity Center staff during the night and weekend hours
Schedule and staff facilities for recreation programming usage
Coordinates with other City departments on the needs of facilities
Attend various programmed events, including nights and weekends
Develops and maintains good working relations with local athletic organizations and School District personnel
Create purchase orders: Keep count of supplies and order as necessary
Prepare deposits and maintain petty cash
Operates the facilities in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
Assists Recreation program staff to provide events and programs for the community at the facilities, as needed or necessary
Ability to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations

Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
May occasionally have to lift or move 25 pounds or more
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree in Facility Management, Recreation, or a related field
2 years of experience working in/with indoor turf facilities or other indoor athletic facilities, and one year of demonstrated leadership experience
Basic understanding of HVAC mechanical systems and components
Must have knowledge of basic Microsoft computer programs
Must have familiarity with recruitment, training, and supervision of others
