About the Reserve Unit
The Rogers Police Reserves are an extension of the Police Department. A Police Reserve is a non-sworn volunteer who assists with patrolling the city and helps at community events. A Reserve Officer may be called during natural disasters and other emergencies. Reserve Officers wear uniforms that are slightly different from a Police Officer and a duty belt with many of the same tools. Unlike Police Officers, Police Reserves are not allowed to carry a firearm. A Reserve Officer is a person who is looking to give back to their community. Many Reserve Officers are professional men and women that come from a wide variety of backgrounds.
