Mobile Food Units Permit
An Annual Permit Application is required for each Mobile Food Unit vehicle. All permits are administered through our online portal.
All Permit Applications for Mobile Food Units are reviewed individually and are evaluated based on their own merit(s) It is the responsibility of all applicants and permit holders to review, understand and follow City Code Section §22-800 to §22-8007 regarding Mobile Food Unit operations. The City reserves the right to deny application for reasons including, but not limited to, failure to provide required information, and to revoke permits for failure to comply with Mobile Food Unit operations, requirements, or other reasons as stated in the City Code and/or loss of other required licenses.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The food truck is operable and in good repair.
Provide a trash can for customers during operation. Clean up the area before leaving and properly dispose of all trash and recycling.
One sandwich board-style sign per food truck; do not block any pedestrian walkway. Do not drain or dispose of grease onto public property or into the city’s storm water drainage system.
Only operate between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. unless extended hours are authorized via a city special events permit.
Food trucks are allowed on public property or public right-of-way only if accepted as part of the special events permit.
Food trucks may operate on private property, including residential areas, for private events with the permission of the property owner.
Food truck operators must comply with parking laws and obey posted parking signs.
Trucks must be more than 100 feet from a restaurant, 250 feet from a city park, and/or 500 feet from a festival or civic event unless given written permission or have a city special events permit.
